Similarly, it doesn’t have any magical healing powers or anything like those scam artists proclaim.
If you like the way it tastes, then more power to you. I can’t stand the stuff.
But if you are buying it because you think it’s any different from any other juice, you are getting swindled out of your hard earned cash.

September 17th, 2009 - 8:09 pmThere have been no adverse reports or studies showing that Acai has had any problems with pregnancy or nursing. In it’s simplest terms, it is a fruit with very high antioxidant support, so your body would see it similarly to eating a bunch of Grapes, Oranges, Apples, etc. You should have no problem at all. Good luck and congratulations on the baby!

September 21st, 2009 - 3:47 amWhile it is true that the acai berry is just like any other fruit and your body would just recognize it as such, acai berry supplements are not necessarily just made of acai.
Beware that some supplements have other ingredients added in to its capsules such as caffeine, which as you probably already know is not good while breastfeeding.
What I suggest is to buy a supplement that is 100% acai ingredient. When shopping around for your acai supplement, always look at the label.

September 23rd, 2009 - 1:06 pmAcai berries themselves are safe and healthy. They are full of essential fatty acids, antioxidants, and other nutrients that would benefit your breastfed baby. (Congratulations on the little one by the way).
Where acai berry supplements are concerned, some may have other ingredients added to them (e.g., caffeine, guarana, magnesium stearate, cellulose, etc). Some of these additives may not be safe for your baby. Others may be derived from animal ingredients. The best thing to do is read the label very carefully before you buy so that you can avoid that. If you are not sure, you can always Google the ingredients to make sure they are safe.
Why not try acai berry pulp, acai berry juice, or powder instead of capsules? You’ll get a purer product AND you’ll get so much more acai for your money. And you’ll get to enjoy the delicious acai berry flavor too.
